Wow July is flying! I can’t believe it is already the middle of July!! But then again I say that every year:).
Last week we were at the CT shore for part of the week as well as for the 4th of July weekend. My Mom and I made these rice krispie treats…and boy, were they yummy!
One of my favorite things about July 4th this year was seeing Emma watch the fireworks for the first time…she was SO excited and LOVED them….she kept sawing…”Whoa…whoa…WHOA…Emma!” Over and over…it was adorable. I wish I had a picture for you…my brother took a video but you could not see anything except a firework here and there.
The rest of the weekend was filled with family, food and the beach:). Below are a couple of shots by the water…it was hard to get a good shot of the Emster…she is too busy running around!

After the 4th of July, Emma and I headed to my Aunt’s to spend a couple more days by the shore. Each year I visit my Aunt we pick a craft to work on.
Last year I made an ice cream garland for Emma’s 1st birthday party (there were about 12 of these lil ice cream guys strung together):
The year before I was pregnant with Emma and we made a pillow for her nursery:
This year I decided to work on a Fall wreath…(yes, you read that right…a Fall wreath). I actually purchased all the materials last Fall and it has been sitting in my garage for almost a year. So I decided to devote this time to work on it so hopefully it would grace my household come September. And I say hopefully as it is only some what complete right now:
Unfortunately, this year’s visit was cut a little short due to a visit to the emergency room but luckily Emma is OK. But, naturally we had to take a selfie (or 10) while we waited for the doctor.
Now that we are back home and recovering from the craziness that was at the end of last week I am busy celebrating one of my most favorite weeks of the year…my birthday and anniversary week! Looking forward to sharing some of the celebrations with you next week!
