Where did July go?! The last I knew it was 4th of July weekend and now today is August 3rd…CRAZY!! July just flies for me..it is a busy month in our household…after the 4th we have my birthday and then three days later we have our anniversary… and THEN we usually go on vacation…so needless to say LOTS of celebrating is involved.
That is where this drink….the Sparkling Peach-Raspberry Sangria comes in. And believe me, it got some heavy use this past month because if you don’t know already…I LOVE sangria. It is my drink of choice, anywhere we go. And yes, I am that girl asking if that have sangria at the Irish Pub (to my defense you would be surprised at the number of places that do have sangria).
Because of this love for sangria, I decided it was time I had a new sangria recipe up my sleeve and on the blog. Since we were having friends over for dinner at the time and I was craving a peach bellini I decided to make a peach bellini inspired sangria; as I like to keep my peach bellini drinking to brunch-time. I also threw in a bunch of raspberries for good measure because what is a sangria without a bunch of alcoholic fruit to eat at the end?! And hence the Sparkling Peach-Raspberry Sangria was born.
With Peach Season upon us this drink comes at a perfect time. So get your peaches ready…this is easy to make and a bound to be a big hit.
- 1 big bottle of moscato wine ( or 7 1/4 cups ) I use Beringer
- 1 cup of peach schnapps
- 6 peaches sliced
- 6 oz of raspberries (1 small container)
- 1 cup plain seltzer (optional)
- 1. Clean raspberries and peaches. Slice peaches.
- 2. Pour moscato and peach schnapps into a pitcher. Add in peaches and raspberries.
- 3. Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
- 4. Right before serving add 1 cup of plain seltzer and if desired some ice.
- 5. Serve and enjoy. Cheers!
